Our program is free, and children do not need to be potty trained to enroll. If accepted, families must complete Enrollment Day, a Home Visit, and attend an Open House before starting the classroom.
All enrolled children must have a current Well Child check, immunizations, and Dental Exam on file within 60 days of their first day of attendance to meet program health requirements.
-
Families are responsible for getting their children to and from the program at all locations.
Families at Centers 1 and 4 may request bussing. Bussing is very limited and applications will be processed in the order they are received. Families must meet the set requirements to be approved for a bussing spot.
-
If your child won’t be at school, please call your center to let us know why—we will miss them, and we want to be sure they’re okay!
If your child throws up or has diarrhea more than once during the day, we’ll need to send them home to rest and feel better, for a minimum of 24 hours from pick up time.
-
If your child requires reasonable accommodations for their diet or a medical emergency care plan, the caregiver MUST share formal medical diagnosis documentation during enrollment.
All dietary accommodations include completion of a CACFP medical statement by the child’s primary doctor. As well as final review and approval by FFI’s contracted Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
-
We supply your children with diapers, pull-ups, wipes, formula, meals, sunscreen (under age 3), blankets, and more. Please send seasonal outdoor clothes and an extra set of clothes: shirt, pants, socks, and underwear to keep at school.
-
We use positive guidance to support children’s behavior and emotional growth, with help from our on-site Mental Health Consultant when needed.
-
Our program uses a play-based curriculum with daily activities that build early skills in literacy, math, art, music, and movement, along with outdoor play, rest time, and family-style meals that celebrate cultural diversity.
-
Reading, counting, and other simple learning activities at home help your child grow. These activities are called “in-kind,” and they help keep our program free.
We ask families to do at least 3 hours each week and write them down. Your time counts as a donation, and it helps us keep getting support!
-
Children will only be released to people listed on their emergency card.
If your child isn’t picked up by the end of the school day and we can’t reach anyone after 30 minutes, we are required to contact the police and Child Protective Services to transfer custody and ensure your child’s safety.
Every day, staff will check in with your child and look for signs of illness or injury. We are trained to report anything that might be a concern to help keep kids safe.
This Resource will be updated annually in August
If you would like any of these resources in print, please ask your family’s teacher or center manager.
